My name is Ricky Chess and in 1993, I had a TBI, coma and spinal injury from an ATV accident which changed my life forever.
Back then there weren’t many resources available for me and others like me with brain injuries.
Fortunately, today there are many more opportunities for people who have survived brain injuries and organizations that have been able to help, which is why I volunteer with Brain Injury Florida.  Brain Injury Florida has been able to provide advocacy, help, support, and resources to people, families and caregivers affected by these injuries and the challenges that impact so many lives.
It is my hope that we can continue to advance our efforts through advocacy, education, research, rehabilitation and treatment to improve the quality of life, health and wellbeing for the benefit of all of humanity.
